Come see it in person
Pick a tour time online. When you arrive at 284 Allen Rd, pull into the driveway on the right side of the farmhouse and park right in front of the barn. Kate will come out and meet you.
Touring in the colder months? It's usually chillier on the farm than you'd expect, so dress warmly.
Schedule a TourQuestions couples ask
How many guests can the barn seat?
The barn seats 170+ guests for dinner, so a tent isn't required. Some couples add one for shade or as a rain plan for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour.
How long do we have the property?
Weddings have the farm Friday through Sunday, and we host only one wedding per weekend.
Are tables and chairs included?
Tables and chairs are rented separately.
Do we have to use your caterer?
Athena's Cantina is our Preferred Partner for catering and the bar. Couples receive our full vendor list after signing their contract.
Do we need a wedding coordinator?
Yes. Every wedding at the farm has a wedding coordinator, chosen from the coordinators Kate offers, so you don't need to search for one. Full planning is also available through Wedding Logistics of Maine.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
That's at the discretion of the bar service you book, so check with them. All drinks must be served by an insured bar service.
Do we need event insurance?
Yes. You'll need Special Event Liability Insurance of at least $1,000,000, including host liquor liability, naming William Allen Farm as additional insured. It usually costs about $200.
Are pets allowed?
Yes! Each pet has a non-refundable $250 fee. Pets aren't allowed in the bridal suite, and they need to be cleaned up after.
Is there a place to get ready?
Yes. The bridal suite is steps from the barn, with a private bathroom and plenty of space and light for hair and makeup.
Can we have our rehearsal dinner in the barn?
Yes!
Is there parking?
Yes. The lot holds up to 75 cars and has room for shuttle buses, with a few accessible spots right next to the barn.
Do we have to clean up?
You'll get a simple cleanup list for Sunday that takes about 30 to 90 minutes with a few helpers. Cleanup can also be handled for you for an additional fee.
