This is where it began

Hi, I’m Kate.

My sister was married at William Allen Farm in 2019. I wasn’t working in weddings then, but standing there that day — watching the way the space held people, how the day unfolded, how much the setting mattered — something clicked.

My background is in Recreation and Leisure Studies, with a focus on facility management. I’ve always loved systems, flow, and the quiet work of making something run well. Owning a venue brought all of that together in a way I hadn’t expected.

The following year, my late husband, Tres, and I became the owners of the farm.

The work behind the scenes

By the time I owned the venue, couples had started asking me for help — not with décor or vision, but with the work behind the scenes. Finding vendors. Reading contracts. Managing payments. Keeping track of what needed to happen, when, and in what order.

That’s the part I’m good at.

I’m deeply system-focused. I care about timing, flow, and how a day actually moves. I know how much time it truly takes to research, secure, and coordinate the right people, and how overwhelming that process can be for couples trying to do it on their own. I also know how important it is for the right professionals to be in the right places to make a wedding run smoothly.

So I stepped in.

The way I work

Today, I’m sole owner of William Allen Farm and the only point of contact for couples. I personally handle inquiries, tours, booking conversations, and the day-to-day care of the property.

William Allen Farm is a welcoming place for all couples. Love, respect, and belonging matter here.

Alongside the venue, I also own Wedding Logistics of Maine, which grew naturally from this work. Some couples work with me only as their venue owner. Others invite me into the planning process as well. Both are welcome. When couples book the farm AND choose planning support, they receive a discounted rate — but the choice is always theirs.

No matter how we work together, my focus stays the same: clear communication, steady guidance, and a wedding experience that feels calm, supported, and thoughtfully handled.
